 Wednesday, July 8th:The Road to Morocco.” A 1947 film is one of four Road films starring Bing Crosby, Bob Hope and Dorothy Lamour.

Two carefree castaways on a desert shore find an Arabian Nights city, where they compete for the luscious Princess Shalmar.

Wednesday, July 15th: “Blondie.” A 1938 film starring Penny Singleton and Author Lake. 

                                    Columbia Pictures most successful film series ever. Twenty-eight features, all one hour and ten minutes long, were produced between 1938 and 1950.

 

Wednesday, July 22nd: “The Egg and I.” This 1947 film starred Claudette Colbert and Fred Mac Murray.  

                                             Story of the adventures of young couple on a farm.  This comedy was such a hit with audiences, it spawned the Ma and Pa Kettle film series.  On May 5, 1947 Colbert and MacMurray starred in radio version of this film that was broadcast on the Lux Radio Theatre.

Wednesday, July 29th: “A Night at the Opera.” is a 1935 comedy film starring Groucho Marx, Chico Marx and Harpo Marx.  It was the first film the Marx Brothers made for MGM after their departure from Paramount, and the first without Zeppo.

 

A sly business manager and two wacky friends of two opera singers help them achieve success while humiliating their stuffy and snobbish enemies.
