Gretna Theatre's production of KEEPING MR. LINCOLN by Sandra Fenichel Asher premiered at The Allen Theatre in Annville, PA.

This newest edition of Gretna Theatre’s “American Hero Biography Series” is always free to area educators who are invited to preview this Outreach Program for presentation in their schools whenever we present it.

The “American Hero Biography Series” has entertained and educated over 10,000 students and seniors in the south central PA region, with AMELIA EARHART: LOST HERO, THE ROAD TO FREEDOM and THE FIRST LADIES: WIVES OF THE PRESIDENTS in previous years.

The hour-long play with music celebrates Abraham Lincoln and chronicles his life from his birth on February 12, 1809 to April 14, 1865, the day of his fateful assassination.  It touches on his life as a young boy, as a young lawyer and politician and his struggles as President of a troubled nation during the Civil War.    Suitable for the whole family, the program is geared toward a middle-school audience.   A full study guide is available for middle schools utilizing this program.

To find out how this program can travel to your school, retirement community, meeting, fundraiser or other event or facility, please contact Program Director Renee Krizan at
